What We Are Looking For

Obviously not every white uPVC double glazed window or door in the country is going to enable the fitting of our Shutter Blinds. Older windows, circa 30 years plus, tend to be the 50/50 possibles and generally it is more the shape of the beading or extrusion that is in question; does it enable the bracket to sit astride without allowing movement or play? Certainly a good 95% of internally beaded uPVC windows are fine. Composite doors, sash, aluminium frame (such as aluminium bi-folds) and wooden windows, on the other hand, are sadly a no.

We are more than happy to send sample louvres for shade choice free of charge. We also have a general component pack that includes all bracket sizes, a punched corner section, the two types of handle recess and the both shades of louvre samples.  This pack gives a physical confirmation of the Shutter Blind suitability and variations that occur, we offer this at cost to include the postage £6 - this is refundable against any subsequent purchase (a coupon code will be included in the box that you receive).

For the main we require your uPVC window or door to allow the Shutter Blind bracket to slide behind the perimeter beading of the window. This beading is what holds the double glazing in place, it is the final snap in beveled or shaped profile that pinches the actual glass unit tightly against the rest of the uPVC outer framwork. Our brackets slide behind this beading profile and form the basis of providing the clasp of our complete Shutter Blind unit. It is our point of integrated fix.

On window and doors, example being an aluminium extruded frame, that do not have this beveled/shaped profile then the required contour (usually square edged on non uPVC glazing) would not give way to a supporting bracket and therefore the Perfect Fit Shutter Lite system would not be applicable.
